About me

Hey, my name is Apostolos Sideris. I'm a computer science student at the University of Piraeus, with a big interest in web development and DevOps. My focus is on creating websites that not only look great, but also work seamlessly behind the scenes, and that's why I'm a big fan of Docker. Its containerization magic makes deployment a breeze.

Besides web development, I'm an avid Linux user. I've been using Linux for over four years now. My daily driver among the various Linux distributions is NixOS, as its use of Nix for configuration allows for an unprecedented level of control and reproducibility. I've only been using NixOS for about a year, so I still have a lot to learn.

As I reach the end of my studies at the University of Piraeus, I've started a great internship adventure. This opportunity not only gives me hands-on experience but also gives me a chance to learn more about the business world. Mixing classes and real-world experience, I'm really excited to build a bright future in the exciting world of software development.

Apart from my tech interests, I like to pretend I'm a gardener. I like to grow plants from seed, and I find it very satisfying to watch the plants grow bigger and bigger as the months go by. It's a great way for me to relax and decompress, which improves my overall well-being.
